Iran is increasing its military presence in the Damascus area

Iran is taking advantage of Russia’s weakening due to the war in Ukraine and Russia’s dependence on it to deepen its military presence in the Damascus region.
Iran has begun purchasing civilian real estate and establishing new military bases south of Damascus and is determined to continue this despite the Israeli bombings of Iranian targets.
