Egyptian effort to prevent escalation ahead of Ramadan

The US asked Egypt to mediate between the Palestinians and Israel to prevent a security escalation ahead of the month of Ramadan.
Israel rejected an Egyptian demand to stop IDF activity against the armed groups in the West Bank, the assessment in Israel is pessimistic that the terrorist organizations are pushing for escalation.
