Mahmoud Abbas Avoids Confrontation with Terrorism in Samaria

The Palestinian Authority’s security forces actively combat criminal elements throughout Judea and Samaria, even conducting political arrests. However, under the orders of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, they do not engage with terrorists responsible for attacks against Israel. Abbas justifies this avoidance by citing the risk of sparking a civil war within Palestinian society.
