Hamas is a brutal terrorist organization but also a large religious political movement deeply rooted in Palestinian society.
Israel will find it difficult to completely eliminate Hamas, but it can, through an extensive military operation, assassinate its military leadership and destroy the military infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
