Heading Towards a War of Attrition in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have outlined their intention to occupy the entirety of the Gaza Strip, even if a new agreement is reached regarding the release of hostages, with the goal of dismantling Hamas’ rule. Anticipated to be a protracted conflict lasting at least a year, the IDF envisions a war of attrition aimed at disarming the Gaza Strip.
