Fathi Hazem, known as “Abu Raed”, the father of the terrorist who carried out the murderous shooting attack on Dizingoff Street in Tel Aviv, who is wanted by Israel and is considered one of the main instigators against it in the West Bank, returned to the Jenin refugee camp after a two-week stay in Ramallah for urgent medical treatment.
According to Palestinian sources, the Palestinian Authority took “special measures” so that he would not be arrested by IDF forces on his way back to Jenin.
According to them, he rejected the pleas of PA senior officials to stay in Ramallah and insisted on returning to the Jenin area.
The PA wanted very much to keep him in Ramallah in order to keep him away from the possibility of being arrested by Israel in
order to portray itself as the one who protects him and improve its position on the Palestinian street.
59 year-old Fathi Hazem was secretly transported from Jenin to Ramallah more than two weeks ago by Nidal Abu Dohan, the commander of the Palestinian security forces in the West Bank, in the car of Hussein al-Sheikh, the secretary general of the PLO’s executive committee, who has an VIP certificate which allows him to pass through the IDF checkpoints, after he suffered a heart attack and his condition was defined as critical.
He was hospitalized in the hospital in Ramallah and managed to recover, he even left the hospital last week to comfort the mother of the terrorist Nasser Abu Hameid who died of cancer in the Israeli prison.
Palestinian officials claimed that Fathi Hazem’s transfer from Jenin to Ramallah and his return to Jenin was coordinated by the PA with Israel after he pledged to “lower his profile” in regards to his inciting appearances against Israel and after he played a positive role in convincing the armed terrorists who kidnapped the Druze young man’s body Tiran Feru to return the body to his family members in the Dalit Alkarmel village.
Sources in the Jenin refugee camp rejected these claims outright.

Fathi Hazem, became wanted by the IDF following the attack by his son Raed in Tel Aviv, he began hanging out with armed terrorists and rejected the requests of senior PA officials to surrender himself to them so that he would not be killed by Israel.
From time to time he emerges from his hiding place and delivers harsh inflammatory speeches against Israel to the residents of Jenin and calls on the residents of the West Bank to adopt the “path of resistance” against the IDF soldiers and the settlers.
All the Palestinian terrorist organizations have embraced Fathi Hazem as the new symbol of resistance .Pictures of him with quotes from his words were hung in the center of Gaza City.
Fathi Hazem refuses to hand himself over to Israel and declares that he is not afraid of arrest or death, now the question arises why he was not arrested by the IDF and Shin Bet when he was transferred to Ramallah? Was there indeed a deal between Israel and the Palestinian Authority and whether he is still considered wanted by the Shin Bet.
Things will become clear soon, one of the indications will be whether he will continue his public appearances in the Jenin refugee camp together with the armed terrorists to incite against Israel.
