The Hamas movement will soon reopen its representative office in Damascus after a ten-year break from the Syrian regime due to the regime’s repression and massacres of its people.
The leadership of Hamas led by Ismail Haniyeh shows political independence and frees itself from the shackles of the “Muslim Brotherhood” movement which opposes reconciliation with President Bashar Assad, Ismail Haniyeh leads the pro-Iranian line with the support of the movement’s military wing.
