The terror attack in Kiryat Arba is an achievement for Hamas

The wave of terrorism is spreading from the north of the West Bank to the south and has also reached the Hebron area, the attack in Kiryat Arba is an achievement for Hamas which succeeded through an aggressive campaign of incitement to drag Hebron into joining the wave of terror. The attack symbolizes the failure of the security policy of Yair Lapid and Benni Gantz, who insist on avoiding a major military operation against the terrorist infrastructure.

The shooting attack in Kiryat Arba last night in which an Israeli citizen was murdered and five other civilians were injured is a dangerous development resulting from the hesitant security policy of Prime Minister Lapid and Defense Minister Gantz who have been refusing for a long time, for political reasons, to hold a large military operation against the terrorist infrastructure in the northern West Bank and to be content with a daily arrest operation.

Even the return to the method of targeted killings is not enough to deal with terrorism with a strong hand, there is no choice but to temporarily occupy the areas of Jenin, Nablus and Tulkarm and cleanse them of the nests of terrorists.

The terrorist organizations read the hesitancy of the political level as a security weakness, and therefore the terrorism began to spread south to the Hebron region, in order to complete the mission and turn the terrorist wave into a new armed intifada.

Success to Hamas

The attack in Kiryat Arba symbolizes the success of the Hamas movement in including the city of Hebron to the current wave of terrorism.

In recent weeks, the Hamas movement has led an aggressive media campaign and calls on social networks for the residents of Hebron to carry out attacks against the IDF and the settlers.

Hebron is considered a major stronghold of Hamas in the West Bank and has large quantities of weapons, shooting in Hebron is a daily affair mainly because of the clan conflicts and disputes, in the last year Hebron witnessed violent confrontations and incidents of mutual shooting between the two major clans Al-Aweiwi and Al-Jabari.

The terrorist who carried out the attack and was killed is a Hamas operative named Muhammad Al-Jabari from a village near Hebron, his brother is an operative of the military wing of Hamas who was released in the “Shalit” prisioners exchange deal and deported to the Gaza Strip.

The Hamas movement welcomed the attack and in the city of Hebron there were dances by residents who shared sweet and also shot live fire into the air.

The Hamas movement is trying to
share the glory with the Lion’s Den armed group
in the city of Nablus and prove that it is also among those leading the current wave of terrorism.

The Shin Bet recently thwarted a number of Hamas cells in the West Bank that were operated from the Gaza Strip and planned to carry out attacks in the West Bank and in Israel.

The attack in Kiryat Arba will give a boost to terrorism, the wave of terrorism is expected to continue even after the elections and the terrorist organizations will try to challenge the new government that will be established in Israel.

Hamas officials claim that the attack in Kiryat Arba is a response to the massacre that Israel committed in the city of Nablus and the crimes it commits throughout the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Hamas plan is to cause the wave of terror to spread to all parts of the West Bank, the attack in Kiryat Arba is seen on the ground as part of the revenge of the residents of Hebron on the settlers and their presence in the city and in response to Israel’s takeover of the Cave of the Patriarchs.
