One of the most important achievements of the “Shield and Arrow” operation is the assassination of the senior Islamic Jihad leader Tarek Izz a-Din, who was responsible for the military establishment of the Islamic Jihad in Judea and Samaria.
In addition to establishing armed terrorist groups, the Islamic Jihad is trying to establish in Judea and Samaria a system of manufacturing and launching rockets that will threaten the cities of Israel.
