Hamas fears an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip

Following the terrorist attacks in Jerusalem, Israel sent a warning to Hamas in Gaza that it will respond strongly if it turns out that the instructions for the attacks came from the Gaza Strip. Senior security officials recommended to the political echelon to change the ways of the Israeli response to terrorist attacks directed from the Gaza Strip.

Hamas is following with great interest the investigation by the Shin Bet and the police into the circumstances of the two attacks that took place in Jerusalem this week.

The fear in Hamas is that if this is verified in the investigation that the attacks were directed from Gaza, Israel will respond by attacking Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip because it is the sovereign in the Gaza Strip and the one that bears the responsibility.

Sources in the Gaza Strip said that such a message was passed from Israel to Hamas through Egyptian intelligence.

Hamas replied to Israel through the Egyptian mediator that the “organization is not the same organization it was in 2002 and that any Israeli adventure will result in Israeli cities being under Palestinian fire”.

The Israeli message to Hamas included a threat to renew the targeted killings in the Gaza Strip after Israel had already made a decision to renew them in the West Bank.

Hamas says that the Lapid government is trying to release the anger of the Israeli public by starting a new attack on Gaza Strip and that the renewal of the policy of targeted killings will lead to the renewal of suicide attacks inside Israel and the firing of rockets from the Gaza Strip.

The Shin Bet announced that it thwarted a terror attack using an explosive device in Israel by a resident of the Gaza Strip with a permit to work in Israel.

He was caught with an explosive device that he planned to detonate inside a bus in the south of the country.

His name is Fatchi Zakout, a 31-year-old resident of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.
He was trained to make explosive charges in the Gaza Strip and was operated by a senior operative in the Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip named Jihad Ranem.

Senior security officials in Israel say that the head of the terrorist octopus which employs terrorists to carry out attacks using explosive charges inside Israel is located in the Gaza Strip , another center for the operation of terrorism by Hamas is the office of the military wing of Hamas in Turkey, for which Saleh al-Arouri, the head of the military wing of Hamas in the West Bank, is in charge.

The new strategy of the Hamas leadership, following the military operation of the IDF in May 2021, is that the Gaza Strip contributed its share to the war against Israel and now it is the turn of the residents the West Bank and East Jerusalem and of the Israeli Arabs , therefore it is content to recruit and operate terrorists from the Gaza Strip to carry out attacks in the West Bank and Israel itself.

Hamas wants to enjoy all the worlds, to continue to receive the humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip from Israel and the international community and the monthly Qatari financial aid of 30 million dollars and at the same time to continue to use terrorism against Israel without it paying a price for it.

The security officials are recommending to the political echelon to change the “retaliation equation” for terrorist attacks in Israel and the West Bank that are directed from the Gaza Strip and to make the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip pay the price, probably the one who will decide on this issue will be the new right-wing government led by Netanyahu.

In any case, it is clear that the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip are taking advantage of Israel’s humanitarian relief for the residents of the Gaza Strip and the granting of permits to thousands of them to enter work in Israel in order to recruit terrorists from among them to carry out attacks inside Israel itself.

Following the Israeli warning, the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip raised their level of alertness and took various measures to protect the rocket manufacturing factories for fear of an Israeli bombardment.
